ต้องบอกก่อนว่าข่าวนี้หยิบยกมาจากกระทู้หนึ่งในเว็บบอร์ดของเกาหลี (clien.net) ซึ่งทางเจ้าของกระทู้เองก็ไม่ได้มีบอกว่าได้ข้อมูลนี้มาจากไหน แต่หากที่เขาโพสต์นั้นเป็นเรื่องจริง ก็ถือว่าน่าสนใจมากทีเดียว ก็ฟังหูไว้หูด้วยละกันครับ

ในกระทู้ได้ระบุว่า ได้ข้อมูลมาจากทางไต้หวันอีกที โดยมันเป็นผลการทดสอบของชิป Exynos รุ่นใหม่ที่ทาง Samsung และ AMD ได้ร่วมมือกันพัฒนาขึ้นมา โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อสร้างชิปที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงกว่า ชิปตัวถัดไปของ Apple ซึ่งก็คือ A14 (iPhone 11 ใช้ชิป A13 Bionic)

อธิบายศัพท์

On Screen คือ การที่ GPU ประมวลผลกราฟิกต่างๆ ในหน่วยความจำเพื่อแสดงผลบนหน้าจอโดยตรง

Off Screen จะเป็นการประมวลผลกราฟิก ที่ไม่ได้แสดงผลบนหน้าจอโดยตรง แต่ถูกจัดการด้วยตัวโปรแกรมอีกที อย่างเช่น การสร้างภาพสะท้อน, ค่าเงา, ฟิลเตอร์, การสร้าง Depth of Field (เพื่อเบลอพื้นหลัง)

โดยผลการทดสอบที่คาดว่าน่าจะมาจากแอป GFXBench 5.0 ทำการทดสอบด้วยมาตรฐานแบบ Off-screen ได้คะแนนดังนี้ครับ 

  • Manhattan 3.1 ได้ 181.8 เฟรม
  • Aztec Normal ได้ 138.25 เฟรม
  • Aztec High ได้ 58 เฟรม

ซึ่งเป็นคะแนนที่สูงมากนะครับ หากเทียบกับชิปตัวล่าสุดใน iPhone 11 Pro ที่ทำคะแนนได้

  • Manhattan 3.1 ได้ 123 เฟรม
  • Aztec Normal ได้ 91 เฟรม
  • Aztec High ได้ 34 เฟรม

โดยปกติแล้ว Apple จะเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของ GPU ให้แรงกว่าเดิมประมาณ 30% ดังนั้นเราลองคำนวณเล่นๆ ชิป A14 ใน iPhone ก็อาจจะได้คะแนนดังนี้

  • Manhattan 3.1 ได้ 160 เฟรม
  • Aztec Normal ได้ 118 เฟรม
  • Aztec High ได้ 44 เฟรม
